Film Idea

When we plan to film our opening sequence i (nick) came up with the idea for the storyline as it was simple and effective and new if it was done in the right way that it would draw the viewer in and get them to feel like they are being watched. even tho we plan to do a horror film it was more of a history opening. This just meant we could leave the ending more open without having blood and gory everywhere.

The idea was simple.

It was a serial kill that targets young teens and follows them and then kills them.

I planed to go though loads of farm land and dirty trails however when i put the idea to the group we then say down and picked it apart. We then came up with the following from Wallington High Street and then take it part of the way that was on the old idea and finish it just as it gets onto the backroads so there is no one around to see what is about to happen.

We came up with filming the High Street with a POV shot of the killer walking down it looking for someone however then one of us said how about if he is still and watching and we went with that idea in stead. We always planned on using the bus as it is a everyday mode of transport that everyone can use and their for it shows that no one is safer because it doesn't matter id you use public transport or walk home.

So the idea then turned into having the killer sitting in Wallington High Street then walling down a ally following the victims and overall ending up getting on the bus with the victim. We then moved to our next location where we just planed to show shots of someone being followed and using the different levels and sounds to add to the effect.

When we got to the top of the street we planned to have the kill come out from behind a bush however when we filmed it we couldn't get the shots right so we decided to leave the ending open and on a cliff hanger. So we change it and had him hiding and looking as he walked past like something is about to happen.


So our idea changed a lot while we was out filming but working together to worked through what we saw as a problem so we end up with a killer that sits in the High Street and then picks his target follows him and then when his victim stops for a break he goes on ahead to plan where he is going to attack him or kill them. We used a radio on the when we was looking for sounds so it explain more of our story and you can see that the killer has done it before.
